During the past twenty-five years, Black Oak Golf Course has been transformed from a diamond in the rough to the jewel in the crown of nine holes golf courses in Northern California and the Auburn, CA golf community.
It’s hard to believe that the beautifully contoured Auburn, CA golf course, hidden in the folds of the Gold Country, is a little less than a couple of miles from the bustling I-80 freeway and route 49. Its beautiful bold oaks provide a wonderful outline to generous fairways and greens.
Once something of a walk on the wild side, the course has been tailored to cater for golfers of all abilities. Over the years, over one hundred trees have been planted with about a dozen having been removed to better delineate the fairways.
Manicured fairways provide a lush green carpet to the entrance of slick tiered Poanna greens on a course, that from the tips, measures 3,163 yards, consisting, two par 3’s, five par 4’s and two par 5’s. The signature hole is the scenic 131 yards par 3 fourth hole over water.
